Abundant Freya is a social enterprise based in Kingston upon Thames. Our purpose is to help build resilient local communities, communities that make their own light, heat, electricity, organic food, clean water or shelter. We aim to create projects that are socially, environmentally and economically sustainable and independent of centralised supply chains - we see these as the foundations of local resilience.

Back on the Road in Kingston!
From the beginning of January 2012 virtually all commercial vehicles with engines that can run on recycled waste cooking oil have been excluded from London under the Low Emissions Zone regulations, however we have just located and purchased a 'compliant' van that can use our bio-fuel so will be resuming waste cooking oil and waste wood collections shortly.

Discounted Fresh Produce Market
We are pleased to have been able to use our van to supply the pre-christmas market arranged by local food co-op From the Ground Up and Refugee Action Kingston. Heavily discounted organic fresh fruit and veg were were available to many who would not usually consider organic produce and there is the possibility that the event will be repeated again later this year.
