Our aim is an ambitious one, to create resilient local communities by providing practical support with their energy, fuel and food needs. We want to work with local charities and individuals to set new standards for sustainability and resilience at a local level.
Waste Wood Project
Against the grain - waste wood is often seen as a problem rather than an opportunity but locally reclaimed wood has a real role to play in the urban energy mix. We process both felled timber and sorted construction waste wood for use in woodburners and shortly will be able to provide wood chip and briquettes for biomass boilers.
Waste Oil Project
Calories are good for your community ! We are recycling used cooking oil to produce fuel for our vehicles which not only supports the environmental and financial sustainability of our projects but also allows us to support other local charities.
Aquaculture Project
In at the deep end - We are working in partnership with The Able Project to develop a low input aquaculture system for urban communities to grow fish and sprouted foods without soil. We should be welcoming our first fish in the autumn and thereafter hope to supply local individuals and food co-operatives.
